How It Works

We start by discussing where the problem is showing and how long it has been happening. We then carry out the most suitable checks to narrow down the source, using specialist equipment where needed. Once the investigation is complete, we explain the findings clearly, identify the next practical step and provide a separate quotation for any repair or access work that is not included in the survey.

Heating-system leaks — what the fixed price covers

For heating systems losing pressure, the fixed-price investigation includes an initial system assessment, pressure testing and monitoring, thermal imaging, acoustic detection, moisture testing and tracer gas where required. Please allow approximately 2–3 hours on site, including up to 2 hours of pressure testing where appropriate.

We will explain the findings, identify the most likely leak location where the evidence allows and provide clear recommendations for the next step. Very slow or intermittent pressure losses may require isolation, staged testing or further monitoring before a reliable location can be confirmed.

Not included: excavation, repairs, materials, waste removal, specialist access or reinstatement. These are charged separately at the applicable hourly rate or provided as a fixed quotation once approved.
